Information Collection
The SnapBucket extension does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personally identifiable information. All configuration data (including S3 API keys, endpoint URLs, bucket names, etc.) is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and is never uploaded to any third-party server.
Data Storage
Files you upload are transmitted directly from your browser to your configured S3-compatible storage service. SnapBucket does not temporarily store, cache, or retain your file content on any intermediate server. The upload process is entirely a direct communication between your browser and the target storage service.
Permissions
The browser permissions requested by SnapBucket (such as context menus and current tab access) are used solely to implement the core upload functionality — identifying the file URL you right-clicked on and performing the upload operation. We do not use these permissions to access or collect any data unrelated to the upload feature.
Third-Party Services
This extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Upload operations only involve the S3-compatible storage endpoints you configure yourself. We do not send your usage data to any external servers.
Data Security
Your S3 API keys are stored in plain text in your browser's local storage. We recommend using dedicated API keys with minimal permissions (granting upload access only to the target bucket) and rotating keys regularly for security.
